## Founder story

CareCall AI was built by Brendan Gifford after his father — 67, living alone, with a history of heart attack and two strokes — was sent home with four eye drop bottles and a 4-week tapering schedule following bilateral cataract surgery. With no spouse, nurse, or other caregiver to help, the father missed doses and lost track of what he had taken. The product was originally built to call his father at each scheduled time and text Brendan when his father confirmed. It worked, and Brendan turned it into a service for other families in similar situations.
