CareCall AI ("we," "us," "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

1. Who We Are

CareCall AI is a Canadian reminder service that provides automated phone calls for medication reminders, appointment reminders, and wellness check-ins. We are not a healthcare provider.

2. What Information We Collect

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information only for:

Making scheduled reminder calls and sending SMS notifications
Showing you call history and response logs
Processing payments
Sending important service updates (not marketing, unless you opt in)
Improving our service (aggregated, anonymized data only)

We do not sell your personal information. Ever.

4. Who We Share Information With

We share limited information only with service providers who help us deliver CareCall AI:

Twilio — our phone call and SMS provider. They process call data to deliver calls. Twilio's privacy policy applies to their handling of call data.
Render — our hosting provider. Your data is stored on servers they operate.
Stripe — our payment processor. We share only what's needed to process payments.

We do not share your information with advertisers, data brokers, or third parties for marketing purposes.

5. How Long We Keep Your Data

Active account data: kept while your subscription is active
Call logs: kept for 12 months, then deleted
After cancellation: all personal data deleted within 90 days
Payment records: kept for 7 years as required by Canadian tax law

6. Your Rights Under PIPEDA

As a Canadian resident, you have the right to:

Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate information
Deletion — request that we delete your personal information
Withdrawal of consent — withdraw your consent to our use of your data (this will result in account termination)
Complaint — file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca

7. Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information, including:

Encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all data in transit
Access controls limiting who can view patient data
No storage of sensitive financial data (handled by Stripe)

However, no system is completely secure. In the event of a data breach that poses a real risk of harm to you, we will notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner as required by PIPEDA.

8. Sensitive Health Information

Medication names and health-related reminder text are treated as sensitive information. We collect only what you provide, use it only to deliver calls, and do not share it with third parties except as described in Section 4.

We recommend not including more detail than necessary in reminder text (e.g. "your morning medication" rather than a detailed diagnosis or dosage).

9. Children

CareCall AI is not intended for use by anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll notify you by email of any material changes. The updated policy will be posted at carecallai.ca/privacy.
